How Do I Care for my Sterling Silver Jewelry?
To prevent jewelry from damage, it is recommended to store your sterling silver jewelry in a cool, dry place in individual air-tight protective bags. Plastic bags that have a zip-lock closures work very well to keep your jewelry from environmental harm.
Do not rub the jewelry with coarse fabric, it may scratch it. Do not expose it to direct sunlight for long periods of time, it may fade the color of the stone.
Try to avoid direct contact with perfumes and lotions because it may leave residue on the jewelry. Also jewelry should not be stored with other metals like pennies or with rubber or wood as these can cause the jewelry to tarnish.
How Do I Clean My Sterling Silver Jewelry?
To clean your sterling silver jewelry, wipe it with a soft cloth gently to remove any residue or tarnishing. Lastly, polish with a lint-free soft cloth. If your is really tarnished, use a polish solution or polishing cloth to clean the jewelry pieces. Be careful though not to get any of the polish solution or polishing cloth on your stones, because they can cause damage them.
